In this video, I show you how to build a home music studio for under $300. I show you each piece of gear and software you’ll need including a computer, audio interface, headphones, monitors (speakers), keyboard, and microphone. I also show you how these things work together. In addition to this, I’ll tell you which piece of gear made the biggest impact to my home studio setup. If you’re in trying to setup a home studio for yourself, you don’t need a lot to start producing music. A home music studio these days is very inexpensive and the results are excellent. If you’re interested in learning more about my setup, please check out the other videos on my channel.

Hey @Sanjay_C what made you decide on the Beyer Dynamic headphones? With all of the options available at every price range imaginable these days it’s made what used to be a decision between “these and those” into a long process that can be just as nerve wracking as the dog chewing up the headphone cable (it happens).

I use PreSonus ioStation24c as the interface with PreSonus Sphere recording software. I would say this was the addition that helped the most for the least effort. The 24c automatically maps to Sphere so all functions are immediately made available just by turning it on. Quickly moving from track to track and function to function within the track quickly and accurately lets you access solo, click, mute, arm, fader, markers, punch in/out, pans and so on with a great deal of ease and fluidity. For my uses this was a marriage made in the control room with no prenup required. 😎🤘

Biggest difference maker are the headphones, speakers, or whatever u mix with. Even more so that the computer. But a midi keyboard is unnecessary if you don’t know piano. I am picking up guitar and also starting to learn theory and piano so I’m getting more use out of mine now but it’s been sitting in my room for months

Great video, Always straight to the point. As for me I prefer using headphones for monitoring the sound for my mixes. ✌️
